Overview

The dySim package simplifies the process of running a variety of Monte Carlo simulations for the purpose of evaluating methods of dyadic data analysis. dySim builds on the lavaan and dySEM packages.

The package is under active development and is being brought into alignment with the current functionality of dySEM.

Intended Scope

dySim is designed to support simulations of:

  • Parameter estimation – bias, accuracy, and coverage
  • Statistical power – power analysis and sample size planning
  • Model evaluation – model evaluation and selection under various data-generating conditions

Development Status

dySim is in an experimental lifecycle stage. The API and functionality are evolving rapidly. After a period of dormancy, active development has resumed, with the package being brought into alignment with dySEM’s growing feature set.

Would-be users should expect changes to the API in the near future. Reach out if you have questions about usage or suggestions for new features.

Installation

Install the development version from GitHub:

# install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("jsakaluk/dySim")
